Fall 2011 – Moving and Changing

Hi moms!

You may have stumbled upon this website wondering what’s happening with Maple Ridge MOPS in Fall 2011. As of September 2011, Maple Ridge MOPS is moving and changing to Connect: Moms of Young Children at meeting at Burnett Fellowship Church in Maple Ridge starting on Wednesday September 21. Much of our group will be the same (coffee, tea, and child care provided!), but there will be some changes as well. Expect less structure, more social time, and more spiritual focus.

April 6 meeting

Hi gals,

The five weeks in March makes it feel like it was a long time since our last meeting. What a great time we had socializing and making cards!

This Wednesday we have a fellow from Yuen’s Family Martial Arts in Maple Ridge who will be teaching us some basic self-defense. Wear comfy clothes and shoes. Active participation is optional, but encouraged! It will be a lot of fun to learn together.

Can you tell I’m excited?!

Our meeting on Wednesday March 2 will be a spa day. Come and relax while you get your eyebrows waxed, have a facial, foot soak and massage, or hair trim while nibbling on a sweet treat. It’s FREE and it’s for you mommas out there who need some time to pamper yourself.

What a lovely breakfast spread we had today. Thanks to the Mentor Moms and other volunteers for cooking up a storm in the kitchen.

See you in the new year. Our first MOPS meeting of 2011 will be on January 5, 2011. Elaine will be sharing about physical activity and nutrition. We will be having a women and children’s free clothing exchange, so clean out your closets!

MOPS Annual Business Fair

It’s a shopping extravaganza!

Get a jump on your Christmas shopping at our annual Business Fair on November 17 from 9:30 to 11:15 a.m. at Maple Ridge Christian Reformed Church, 20245 Dewdney Trunk Road. Vendors include: Tupperware, Mary Kay, Stampin’ Up, Avon, Discovery Toys, Usborne Books, Epicure, Creative Memories, Pampered Chef, Norwex, PartyLite, Stella & Dot and more. While you’re there pamper yourself. Get your eyebrows waxed by an esthetician and a quick massage by a registered massage therapist. Bring a friend! (Regular childcare available as per usual.)
